Learn with Lisa

Lisa needed more than a portfolio website. She needed a credible public presence and a private system she could operate herself as her teaching practice grew.

01 · The brief

One teacher. Two connected experiences.

The challenge

Teaching content, student access, course information, and online classes needed to feel like one coherent service. The platform also had to remain understandable for a non-technical owner and affordable to maintain.

The response

I shaped the work as two connected products. The public website builds trust with students and parents. The private LMS gives Lisa direct control over students, lessons, exercises, media, courses, articles, profiles, and live classes.

Product constraints
  • 01Vietnamese-first for students, parents, and day-to-day administration.
  • 02Simple enough for one teacher to manage without developer support.
  • 03Grade-controlled access for students from Class 1 through Class 12.
  • 04A current operating-cost target of $0 per month.
Delivered capabilities
  • Teacher-created student accounts with grade-based access
  • Lesson builder for video, slides, theory, quizzes, and vocabulary
  • Linked theory-to-practice flow with progress tracking
  • Vocabulary games, server-scored exercises, and leaderboard
  • Editable public pages, courses, articles, media, and user profiles
  • Built-in live classroom with Google Meet as a fallback
02 · The product

Built around the work Lisa does every week.

Public branding and private operations share one visual language, while each interface keeps the density appropriate for its job.

Cost-conscious architecture

Operational simplicity shaped the stack.

The architecture was selected around one teacher’s real scale. It avoids unnecessary services while keeping authentication, media, structured content, and live teaching under one deployment model.

The platform currently runs at $0 per month. Charges could arise if usage exceeds Cloudflare free allowances or if a paid domain or external service is added.

03 · Delivery

A working product, not a presentation.

The finished product was deployed, verified, documented, and accepted. Lisa received a Vietnamese administration guide, a visual walkthrough, rollback information, and a sanitized source handoff so the platform could be operated as a real teaching tool rather than a developer-dependent prototype.
